Information on weather conditions: temperature, luminosity, pressure, can be translated from one media thanks to digitalization. Via a program in Processing this information is transformed into images and sound.
The result is a different approach to landscape, one that materializes phenomena that are felt while on field (distances, movement, lighting, etc), but somehow could not be enclosed in a photograph or a recording. As if we are taking with us an automatic pet, one that makes its own chronicle of the promenade.
This example was made in the Santa Lucia wetlands, in Uruguay. This is a video for a presentation on the project and it is the combination of the visual description of the landscape (made with a 16 mm camera in a still position) and a dynamic one, made with information collected with the device. Those two approaches are equally means of knowledge and combined unveil other layers of the narrative of the place.
